Looking Back: TTM Highlights at the 14th Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition in Baku
October 16 marked the close of the 14th Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition at the Baku Expo Center. Three days, booth 2R026, and a steady stream of road builders from across the Caspian basin. Here's an honest account of the stand itself, and of the questions we kept hearing.

Our stand took a corner spot, compact, in orange and black. A banner overhead named TTM the largest asphalt mixing plant manufacturer in Asia. Buyers don't take a slogan at face value, of course. They went straight to the numbers. Along one wall ran a timeline — 2004, first plant built; 2006, first export market; 2024, the IPO. The facing wall carried the figures: 2,500-plus plants shipped, over 500 patents, output up to 480 T/H, and 250 plants built a year. Those machines are running in more than 60 countries now, and that spread is where most of our design changes come from. Several visitors photographed that wall before they said a word.

Nobody came for small talk. Contractors from Azerbaijan and the neighboring markets led with the weather: how does an asphalt mixing plant hold up through the region's temperature swings? RAP came next. How much reclaimed material can a mix carry before quality starts to drop? Fuel and burner choices came up too, always tied to whatever local supply actually allows. Our technical panel earned steady attention. Its six points cover an optimized drying system, a powerful burner, efficient exhaust gas filtration, additional insulation of the units, thermal oil heating for the mixer and an enlarged screening area. Guests often pointed at a specific item and asked what it does for daily running costs.

Conversations rarely stayed at brochure level. Several visitors arrived with tender requirements and left after working through configuration options against real project parameters. Questions about 24/7 full-cycle support and spare parts supply came up in almost every serious discussion. Custom configuration drew particular interest, since no two Caspian road projects share the same site conditions.

If Baku wasn't on your calendar this month, you can still get the same answers. Send your project parameters through our website contact form or reach the team on WhatsApp. We'll respond with an asphalt mixing plant proposal built around your site, your climate and your tender, plus reference cases from the region.
